Cindy and Richard were a boring and responsible couple who didn’t want to be boring and responsible any more. Richard was working for himself for over two years before they finally realized that he could, in theory, work from anywhere. So why not actually work from… anywhere? A few day dreaming sessions later, they decided to cut the cord (no, not the internet cord, that one’s too precious, just the real life cords) and take off.
Cindy is from Washington state and her family, including 90 first cousins, are from Mexico. That’s not an embellishment. She really has that many and will probably have more by the time you read this. Cindy prides herself on not being able to go 45 minutes without eating something and consumes three breakfasts every day.
Richard is from China and his family is from, wait for it, China. He’s doesn’t know how many cousins he has, but he’s pretty sure he can count them on one hand and maybe another finger. The first time he saw 20% of Cindy’s cousins running to meet him he wondered if he had made a poor life choice. Richard is convinced he has spent close to a year of his life just watching Cindy eat breakfast.
